Ospreys are unique raptors with a diet primarily of fish, boasting eyesight 3-5 times better than humans for spotting prey from up to 300 ft. They hunt through vertical dives or by gliding over water, using their specialized feet with spicules and an opposable toe for a firm grip on prey. This toe arrangement allows them to position their catch for reduced air resistance during flight.
