Microscopy Day Exhibition 6th July

Joint Meeting of the BNSS with the Quekett Microscopical Club

A huge variety of specimens were on display to members and the public. They ranged from live plankton to scary images of spiders’ genitalia, from forams you can find on the beach to sections of rock and a Victorian laboratory. Alan Wood’s full detailed report can be read here. This was followed by an excellent talk by Dr. Anton Page from the Imaging Facility at the University of Southampton/ NHS Foundation Trust.
