Speaker: David Waters – Executive Officer of Great Bustard Project

These magnificent birds became extinct in Britain in the 19th Century. A Reintroduction project on Salisbury Plain was begun in 1998 and saw the first releases into the wild in 2004. David Waters will explain the rationale for the project, how it was made possible and its successful development in the succeeding years up to the present.
